We have the power to build the Brooklyn we deserve—one where everyone has access to housing, health care, safety, and dignity.
"We have the power to build the city we deserve.
Let's rise together to meet this moment."
Meet Christian
I'm a community organizer and a democratic socialist running to represent parts of Bushwick and East New York (including Cypress Hills and City Line) in the State Assembly.
I'm running because the status quo is suffocating us. We live in the wealthiest city on Earth and yet a quarter of New York families live in poverty. Every year, the wealthy accumulate power while the working class—Black, brown, and immigrant communities especially—are pitted against each other as if there isn't enough to go around. We have the power to build the city we deserve: one where everyone has access to housing, health care, safety, and dignity, but to do it we need an assembly member who is present in and accountable to the people of our district.
I have spent countless hours pounding the pavement with my neighbors to build a better future. This campaign is not just about an assembly seat, it's part of a working class movement to take back our power.

The platform
Our city is at a turning point. New Yorkers are demanding a new kind of politics that puts people above profit and treats every resident with the dignity they deserve.
For our agenda to succeed, our state has to step up and lead.
KEEP PEOPLE
IN THEIR HOMES
Across Bushwick and East New York, developers and speculative investors have gotten rich by displacing thousands of our neighbors. We can stop this but we have to stand up to the real estate lobby and do everything possible to fight displacement. Together, we will create a Social Housing Development Authority to create millions of permanently affordable housing units state-wide, we will support tenant organizing through the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase act, and we will protect our most vulnerable homeowners by expanding the cease and desist zone and adopting the flip tax.
DEFEND OUR
NEIGHBORS FROM ICE
We need to stand together against ICE and immigration fear mongering. We are all better off when our city is welcoming to everyone, and we have to refuse the idea that working class communities should compete for scraps. We will pass New York for All to prohibit state agencies from collaborating with ICE, we will adopt Access to Representation to guarantee every New Yorker access to an immigration lawyer in deportation cases, and we will pass the MELT act to prohibit law enforcement from concealing their identities while on duty.
INVEST IN
COMMUNITY SAFETY
Real public safety comes from community investment. We must do more than just respond to crime when it happens; we have to address the generational cycles of poverty and inequality that cause crime in the first place. Bushwick and East New York have long histories of community-driven public safety efforts. That work continues and needs to be supported by our state. We will invest in summer and after school programs, fund violence interruption, expand access to mental healthcare and substance abuse counseling, and improve visibility on Broadway and Fulton. We keep us safe.
